Nicholas v Hubble Telescope

70-hour image of the NGC 602/N90 star-forming region, from my observatory at home in Cohuna.

PlaneWave 0.43m CDK17 telescope in my backyard

 The image on the left is a tight crop of the original image. It shows the star forming region NGC 602, or N90, was taken by myself and consists of 70 hours of narrowband data, and 6 hours of RGB data. I took the image using my FLI ProLine 16803 camera, mounted on my 0.43m diameter PlaneWave CDK 17 telescope in my roll-off roof observatory in our back yard, in Cohuna, Australia.

Hubble Space Telescope

 The image on the right, was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope, and processed by the Hubble Heritage Team. The cost of Hubble to date is $16 Billion. Again. my telescope cost a lot less!
